University-Enterprise Cooperation Opens a New Chapter, Industry-Education Integration Creates a Brilliant Future

With spring in full bloom and everything taking on a new look, on March 26, 2026, Chen Zhiyun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management and Engineering, Nanjing University, and Yu Honghai, Dean of the School, led a delegation. The delegation included Zhu Huagui, Professor of the School, Chen Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Liu Huimin, Vice Dean, other members of the Party and government leading groups, as well as directors of relevant departments and supervisor representatives. They visited Nanjing TetraBOT Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Techwin Robot) to meet with Liu Shuang, an outstanding 2018 Master of Engineering alumnus and Chairman of the Company, and held in-depth discussions to explore new paths for industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation.


Upon arriving at Techwin Robot, under the warm guidance of Zhu Dewei, Director of the Product Innovation Department, the college leaders and guests visited the company's product exhibition area. They observed up close core products such as multi-modal fusion intelligent inspection robots, the world's first explosion-proof humanoid robot, and the TianSuan Intelligent Inspection Large Model. They also learned in detail about the application scenarios and technological advantages of the products in power, new energy, rail transit, nuclear industry and other fields. The company's business covers industrial high-risk environment operations and civil comprehensive pipe gallery operation and maintenance, with business presence in more than 30 provinces across China and project implementation in overseas markets such as Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries.


Subsequently, a symposium was held between the two sides. Chairman Liu Shuang gave a detailed introduction to the company's development history, core products and future strategic layout. He recalled that at the beginning of his entrepreneurship in 2017, the team entered the market with photovoltaic intelligent operation and maintenance robots. After experiencing industry fluctuations, the company successfully transformed in 2019 and focused on the industrial-grade intelligent inspection robot track. At present, Techwin Robot has developed into a leading enterprise in the field of intelligent inspection robots in China. Its products cover many industries such as electric power, new energy, chemical industry and transportation, and has ranked first in domestic shipments for five consecutive years.

From a technical startup to where we are today, the biggest challenge has shifted from technology itself to organizational management and strategic coordination, Chairman Liu Shuang admitted frankly. As the company has expanded in scale and the team has grown to over 300 members, how to help R&D backbones transform into managers and how to build an organizational structure adaptable to the development of scientific and technological innovation enterprises have become key issues for the sustainable growth of the enterprise. He stated that this is precisely where the unique value of the School of Management and Engineering's Technology + Management + Finance interdisciplinary training model lies, and also the convergence point for the enterprise to eagerly deepen cooperation with its alma mater.


During the exchange, Dean Yu Honghai introduced the college's reform and exploration in discipline construction and talent training in recent years, and presented Chairman Liu Shuang with a work inscribed with a poem by Professor Sheng Zhaohan, the founding dean of the school, as a souvenir. He noted that in the face of the profound changes in the era of artificial intelligence, the School of Management and Engineering is vigorously promoting the paradigm reform and systematic restructuring of comprehensive AI-oriented talent training, committed to bridging the last mile of industry-university-research cooperation and cultivating leading talents who will lead the future of the industry. What we care most about is the unique value that the college can create for the country and society, said Dean Yu Honghai. Only through in-depth integration and coordinated development with enterprises can we truly grasp industrial needs, align talent training with scientific and technological innovation, and cultivate leading talents for industrial development and enterprise growth by virtue of the college's unique trinity advantages of AI Technology + System Management + Technology Innovation Finance. Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions and reached consensus on enterprise talent training, student practice, Party building activities and other aspects.


In his concluding speech, Secretary Chen Zhiyun stated that this visit is not only a concrete action to implement the university's requirements for deepening industry-education integration, but also an important opportunity for the college to benchmark national strategic needs and optimize the talent training paradigm. He expressed his sincere gratitude to Alumni Liu Shuang for his long-term care and support for the development of the college, and issued a letter of appointment as a director of the college Alumni Association to him. He expected the two sides to take this exchange as a starting point to promote the implementation and fruitful results of various cooperation intentions.


After the symposium, the two sides took a group photo. This alumni visit not only strengthened the ties between the college and alumni enterprises, but also clarified the key directions and implementation paths for university-enterprise cooperation.
